Here's my dog... sort of. I was in New Braunfels and found this sweet dog at the shelter and got her Saturday. Monday, I found out she has a severe heart disease. So I spent the week trying to find someone who could afford the $5,000.00 + surgery- with lots of ups and downs (some rescues said they would, then backed out...). Then the shelter was threatening me with violating the contract (because I was trying to give her to someone that could afford to SAVE HER LIFE) and said I had to bring her back.
Screw the shelter (basically because they don't know how to read their own contract, it doesn't say what they claim plus they were completely unprofessional and extremely rude while I was bawling about the poor pup)- I found a loving home for her with someone who has vet connections. Kumiko (the dog's name) may be too far past surgery, but at least she has a happy home with someone who can afford to see! She didn't act sick nor did she tire easily- in fact, she had tons of energy, so I couldn't just take her back to the shelter.
So, I had a dog for a few days. It was fun while it lasted- besides the whole sickness part.
