I Don't Hate Mexicans, But They Hate Me

So, down here in the ghetto of Texas, many people do not appreciate non-Mexicans.  It's obvious at some places- especially eating establishments and there are some none of us go to because of it.  Today is a prime example.  Ryan discovered a BBQ place (considering EVERY place so far- of the 10 choices- is sub-par Mexican food- this was great news) so we tried it for lunch.  After waiting about 5 minutes to be acknowledged, we were told there is no BBQ- only chalupas with beef (in Spanish only of course).  Crap, but we order it nonetheless (noticing that the other customer is not eating a chalupa).  Then we get chalupas with no meat, no anything.  We hear them talking about us numerous times in a derogatory manner the whole time.  There's no one around to ask "where's the beef?" or aything else - but as we're eating boring chalupas (yet smelling delicious BBQ and hearing them talk crap about us)- someone walks in and orders brisket...  and they get it.
Other events transpired (including one person asking if we weren't being served b/c we were white- to which the answer was... "I don't know, let me check")... but we decided to leave without eating more than a couple bites of our food and not exactly paying - we didn't walk out- which I wanted to do, but payed an agreed upon lesser than owed amount (so we wouldn't be on the Most Wanted list).
Marie's BBQ is missing out on about 25 landmen's business now for the next few months at least... back to knock-off velveeta enchiladas... yum :(

Oh yuk....

It doesn't surprise me in the least, but that's still extremely frustrating.
