Oh cops how I love thee... and news reporters too!

So, if you don't know, there was a bank robbery in Odessa today and the robbers shot someone 4 times (but he is ok). Apparently, they ended up in our neighborhood- right behind our store. Ok, the sheriff's dept, the FBI, and 50 other cars including an armored car (it looks like a tank, seriously) spent the day near me. Holy crap, I was more bothered by the po-pos than the robbers hiding out. The FBI agent lied on camera about what happened and what they did- I know, I was there. Of course the cops were rude and ridiculous- my dad said when they came to surround the house- they came in the store, COCKED THEIR GUNS, and told everyone to get out. Umm, a) this is a business, b) the guys weren't in the store, c) got off our dang property- except to get them. THEN, there were the reporters who WOULD NOT LEAVE- they were trespassing and lying. It was great when we saw the story on the news and where the crap did that info come from? because 1/2 of it wasn't true. Plus, they were so rude trying to get something on camera- I won't even describe all they did and the how terribly the cops, wait the Sheriff and FBI handled things. Yes, the guys were caught with no incident- but come on they are 19ish year old guys in a surrounded mobile home, that have been running all day- what the heck are they going to do?
All of this started happening when I sat down to do the devo tonight. Then I called and told them I couldn't come because I was in lock down- yes it was like prison. Then, when it was finally, "over" I decided to go anyway, since I was supposed to be leading the discussion, but I got stuck telling reporters to get off our property and blocking their cameras and dealing with cops.. ugh. Soooo much fun. Anyway, I feel like a loser for skipping out on my day for the devo. Sorry, I'm sure it was better without me anyway.

Never trust a cop.
