A Fun Week

Last week was certainly exciting- in both good and bad ways. First thing Sunday morning, Papaw had to go to the hospital- he was in until Saturday. Aunt Laura, Aunt Barbara and Nona came down to help him out in the hospital along with mom of course. Anyway, he has some sort of infection, but they don't know exactly what, where, or how. He'll have to go for antibiotic treatment for the next 10 days- 2 1/2 hours each day- fun, fun!

Then Thursday, the whole attempted bank robbers incident.

Now the fun part. Nona, my cousin, stayed with us while her mom was with Papaw in the hospital. It was fun to catch up wth her and play with Chan, her 9 month old son. Then she came with me to the lake Friday night. We had fun with another friend- we made a fire (that finally took after about 30 minutes), had smores and beer, and kept the bugs away with tons of Off and a few bounce sheets placed strategically on our bodies and around us- it worked!
We got up Saturday morning and took the jet skiis out on the lake and just enjoyed the 100 degree sunny weather while it lasted! After some hot dogs for lunch, we headed back out with my parents and approx. 90 seconds after we launched the skiis and parked the truck- what would hit but lightning. So we packed everything back up and headed home to one of the most amazing and scary lightning storms I've ever seen! We only lost power for a few minutes, but the lightning was amazing! This picture was nothing compared to what we saw- but there was so much, it wasn't hard to get a picture of it.

After some more games, more eating, and lots of guitar hero, we came home today- it was a great weekend!

Here are some pictures of Chan, Nona, and I in the pool.
