Pray without ceasing- I Thes 5:17

It's been a rough week. 4 friends/ family members are going through some terrible things right now. Pray for them- you don't have to know their names- there is at least one person if not a few in each of our lives that could use prayer. Maybe it's a parent and child who's relationship has been severed, maybe someone has had a hard life and they are dealing with the repurcussions of those bad decisions, maybe a marriage is breaking- families are being divided, mybe someone is not a Christian and dying, or maybe someone is all alone dealing with these things or anythig else and needing someone to be there for them and just pray. Please say a prayer for those going through times like these because right now it hurts the most, right now their faith is being tested.
Or maybe you are this person, maybe you are dealing with these or other things that seem to tear up your life in every way. Know that God cares and so do I - along with anyone else who reads this and so many other people in the world.
Here are some versesI like for times like these:
  • Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strng tower against the foe. I long to well in your tent foreverand take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Psalm 61
  • God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire. "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46

On a happy note, Brooke passed the bar- way to go!

Right so, one hour after posting this I found out that an elder at our congregation died in a car accident a few hours ago. If any other bad things happen please don't tell me! But pray for strength for his family and wife!
