Solving the Problems of the World

First off, I'm having issues with my blog layout if you hadn't noticed. Thanks to Mrs. Maass, I got out of the boring templates blogspot provides and had a beautiful blog! But about the time she made me one, I had started to figure it out myself and so I kept messing with it. I didn't save her original, and it ended up being completely horrendous. Then I got some from online, but I'm picky and I can't find one that I really like. Everyone has the 'cutest blog on the block' ones- which are great- but everyone has them, so I want something different. So, for now, this is the springy one that you get to look at (<-- I just ended a sentance with a prepositional phrase- why are all my friends grammar nerds but I can't even figure out when to put a period or a comma?). I don't know how to fix, wait, I'm not going to spend 2 hours trying to figure out how to get the invisible words on here to be visible- sorry.

Swine flu and American politics... my opinion: Close the borders, PLEASE. This would be tremendous. First, it would keep the flu from coming in at different places. But most importantly, it would keep us from importing anything. Sure, we may run out of pesto and little cheap quarter machine toys (and a whole lot of important stuff too), but we'll run out of oil. Then, the stupid drilling in America bans will be lifted- jobs will be created, we won't be energy dependant, and we will be helping the American economy. How in the world can a government ban us from drilling our own oil, make us import foreign oil, then tell us we're terrible and we consume so much we have to import it- when there are HUGE oil deposits here!

On Republicans- I love how Specter(sp?) left the Republican party because they are "too far to the right." Where the heck was he? Am I the only one who thinks that the scale is like this?

EXCELLENT demonstration, I know! That is why I am no longer a Republican... they no longer follow the ideals that they claim to have. When I say 'less government' I don't mean, 'lets get the UNITED STATES SENATE to spend DAYS depating whether or not to pass legislation to deal with steroids in baseball- a private entity,' nor do I mean that we should pass a 'stimulus' package (such positive and encouraging words: Stimulus (think, growth and development....Package (think, Christmas)).
I leave you with a picture of wildflowers from the lake last year (since I don't have any real pictures to put on here).
