My Favorite Holiday!

I decided to take a super long holiday and met mom at the lake on Wednesday night. Ross, Ally, and Dad followed suit on Thursday night with Gram and Pap bringing up the rear coming in on Friday night. I brought down 6 new games to keep us entertained. Mom and I were quite entertained with the $4 clearance special 'Last Word'. Mom even made dinner (which if you know her at all- is not something she does except on special occasions- and everyday at the store, but...). We made our trip to the Super H grocery store to stock up on junk food for the weekend on Thursday morning (going to the lake in our family = steaks and great food along with ice cream and cookies and all sorts of junk for the weekend). We had just sat down to watch one of the 2 channels we get, when this monstrous lizard is climbing up the window right behind us. It was at least 8 inches head to tail. After a wild hunt- mom finally got him out of the house (phew! I had to sleep on the floor one night). Finally, everyone else got there and we had a great weekend! We actually bought a few fireworks- watched some more, and of course spent some time on the water with the jet skiis (and didn't even get a ticket OR get stopped).

See the mass of 20 young 3-12 year olds blocking the path of our jet skiis from getting to the open ater? Right. At first I wanted to run over them all for invading "our" space. Then, after hearing their parents treat them like crap and yell and cuss and treat them terribly, I just wanted to steal them away from them- poor kids!

This may be Bob(bie) and Betty's last year with us!
