Tuesday night, Brooke randomly was looking at the New Braunfels Humane Society page and saw a purebred standard poodle, 4 months old, red. So Wednesday morning we got there right as they opened and alas, she was there (in fact people were calling in from Houston and San Antonio asking them to save her for them, but we beat them there- woohoo)! This is how she looked when I got her- I love them all furry-
But, I had to get her groomed to clean her up from being in the shelter and on the dangerous streets of New Braunfels. Little did I know, she is ridiculously skinny! I'll be taking her to my parent's house this weekend so they can take care of her until after the bar (she's too much of a distraction when I need to be studying).
Otherwise, the bar is in a week and a half! oh my gosh! I have not been studying, instead I've been playing with Coda and wasting time online- like I'm doing right now! So, pray that Brooke and I will study hard and pass! But in case I don't, I can take it again in February- it'll be ok!
I've never been so stressed in my life. I'm irritable with everyone and mean and tired and overwhelmed! I'll be so glad when I don't have to carry flashcards around everywhere we go to read/ quiz ourselves in the car (even though we hardly go anywhere- only necessary places like church and the grocery store). I'll be exstatic when I can listen to my ipod and the radio again instead of PMBR lectures. And when I can do fun things again- like enjoying San Antonio/ Austin!
I'll be home in 2 weeks for most of August. Then at the end of August is our vacation- a cruise (Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel)! I'm so ready for it- and for July 31st at 5 pm... when this will all be over... please pray for me and everyone else doing this- Go for the gold (that's to quote our bar coach- I would never actually say that in this circumstance)!
